Michael Brodzinski was named Senior Vice President and Market Leader at Lockton Companies, Inc. on February 18, 2019. He has almost 15 years of consultative risk management and senior leadership experience at global brokers and carriers. In addition to Michael’s role as a strategic risk consultant, he leads the development and expansion of the company’s new Pittsburgh office.
Joseph Curatolo has been appointed Underwriter – Excess & Surplus at QBE Insurance. He joined the company in May 2017 as an Associate Underwriter in E&S working on policies, endorsements, ratings. In his new role, Joseph works closely with wholesale brokers to diversify the E&S portfolio and evaluate the risks of each submission.
Tony DeRiggi was appointed Strategic Risk Consultant at Lockton Companies, Inc. on April 15, 2019. His experience comes from his previous roles at a large power equipment company and as a Consultant at a global broker supporting high-risk businesses. Tony will use his experience to advise the company’s clients on complex risk solutions.
Joe Fitzgerald was appointed Chief Underwriting Officer of North American Entertainment Business at OneBeacon Insurance Group in April 2019 in addition to his current role as President of the company’s U.S. Entertainment business. He has been leading OneBeacon Entertainment since 2016. In his expanded role, Joe oversees North American Entertainment underwriting operations—known in their respective markets as OneBeacon Entertainment (U.S.) and Intact Insurance (Canada).
Lisa T. Gates was appointed Vice President, Marketing & Communications at RLI Corp. on May 2, 2019. In this role, she will have executive leadership responsibility for the company’s marketing and communications strategy and operations. Lisa joined RLI in 2010 as Director, Communications and was promoted to Assistant Vice President, Marketing & Communications in 2015. Prior to joining the company, she held marketing and communications leadership roles at the Tribune Company and Starcom.
Adam Glick has been appointed Principal at Frenkel & Company Inc. He will handle new business development; manage property/casualty insurance programs; develop employee benefits programs; and provide risk management strategies and solutions to mid-market and large clients across a range of industries. In particular, Adam has a specialty focus on the complex needs of advertising/media companies; financial services firms, law firms, and the real-estate industry.
Daniella Granata has been named Assistant Vice President, Underwriting – Professional Lines, Media Liability at QBE Insurance. She joined the company in July 2013. In this new role, Daniella is responsible for the continued strengthening of key relationships, growth and maintenance of the existing portfolio, as well as working with claims and marketing to enhance products and contribute to the financial performance of the media liability book. Her expertise is understanding the nuances of underwriting scripted episodic television, reality television productions, documentaries, media branding/advertising and digital media companies.
Tim Hall was named Executive Vice President and Head of M&A at Relation Insurance Services on April 30, 2019. He is responsible for the company’s M&A initiatives nationally across the organization. Tim is an accomplished investment banker in the insurance sector. Most recently, he served as Partner and Managing Director at Waller Helms Advisors, where he advised insurance carrier, insurance distribution, and insurance services clients on mergers, acquisitions, and capital raises.
Melissa Hill joined Hiscox as Head of Claims on April 22, 2019. She oversees the strategic direction and performance of the company’s industry-leading claims service in the US. Melissa has more than 10 years of experience in claims operations. Prior to joining the company, she was the Chief Claims Officer at Blackboard Insurance Company, where she built an innovative claims operation that managed risks and exposures in real-time.
John Hyland joined NFP as Senior Vice President, National Surety Director on May 1, 2019. In this role, he works to accelerate growth in the company’s surety bond service offerings by working closely with the company’s national team to grow specialty lines and key relationships in the construction space. John has more than 30 years of experience in the surety industry, where he has served as an Underwriter, an Underwriting Officer, and a Surety Broker. He is well versed in the placement of large construction surety bond programs, including co-surety, shared account, captive, and private equity structures.
Euan King was appointed Executive Vice President of Business Development at Instanda on March 1, 2019. His entire career has been focused on building world-class companies, with nearly 40 years of experience in technology and software supporting the P&C insurance industry in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., continental Europe, and South Africa. Euan’s extensive leadership experience for global organizations spans executive and operations management, business development, sales, marketing, and professional services.
Rich McElhaney has joined Lockton Companies as Loss Control Consultant. He has 27 years of industry experience as a Risk Manager and Loss Control Consultant. In his new role, Rich will enhance the employee safety programs of the company’s clients.
Chris McKechnie was named Chief Financial Officer of Relation Insurance Services on April 30, 2019. He has more than 20 years of investment and operating experience in the insurance industry. Prior to joining the company, Chris served as Operating Partner and Advisor to several financial services-focused investors, including, among others, Aquiline.
Patrick Moore has joined Lockton Companies as Senior Vice President and Employee Benefits Consultant. He has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry focusing on employee benefits. Patrick will partner with employers to create programs that offer a high level of benefits while mitigating price increases. He has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, spanning a range of senior leadership roles across P&L management, strategy, M&A, business development, finance and risk management. Before joining the company in 2012, Tammy was a Senior Vice President and Managing Director at Genworth Financial leading the firm’s commercial and strategic development team.
Ruth Santiago has been named Underwriting Operations Supervisor at QBE Insurance. She joined the company in January 2018. In her new role, she assists in training the Associate Underwriters/GSSC team members as well as provides services to Corporate Underwriters. In addition, Ruth makes sure workflow changes are implemented in a positive manner with the end goal to provide underwriters with quality timely results that will allow them to meet their goals.
